MAY-JUNE YA PRESENTATIONS

YAs Becca, Chris, Courtney, and Steven did a total of 8 presentations in one day to 8 classes at Patchogue-Medford High School

Becca (Rebecca) had a goal of educating every student in her school before her graduation...over the last three years she has come close!

YAs Becca, Charlotte, Courtney, Gianna, Giovanni and Steven preserved to Nursing students at Adelphi University.

YAs Courtney, Sam R, Pierce, Aiden, Kacy and Joseph presented to the Long Island Chapter Support Group members (as is tradition at the June support Group). The newly trained YAs did an amazing job!

APRIL PRESENTATIONS

Thank you to our amazing Youth Ambassadors who remain busy educating and spreading awareness

YAs Ben and Giovanni did presentations to 4 classes of Nursing students at Adelphi.

YAs Kacy and Steven joined LI TA Board Members Florentina and Kate and LI TA members MaryKate and Valerie at Adelphi’s Health Fair where they had the opportunity to educate many students and faculty members.

YAs Aiden, Chris, Jason, Jilly and Pierce did an outstanding presentation to an entire pack of Boy Scouts grades 1-4 and their parents at East Lake Elementary School in Massapequa

MARCH YOUTH AMBASSADOR PRESENTATIONS

Thank you to Youth Ambassadors Courtney, Gianna, Steven and Victoria for a wonderful presentation at Mt. Rushmore Elementary School in Carle Place!

Huge thank you to YAs Aiden, Ben, Chris, Mary and Rebecca and Adult Ambassador, Dave who participated as panelists at a presentation given by Drs. Budman and Zwilling to Physician Assistant students at Hofstra. The Panelists did a tremendous job!

YAs Steven and Chris with assistance from newly trained YAs Courtney and Sam Rieber presented at Lakeville Elementary School in Great Neck.

YA Chris participated in a Facebook Live discussion with Julie Hertzog, Director of PACER's National Bullying Prevention Center in a discussion on tips and strategies on bullying prevention.

The filming took place in the TAA office in Bayside.

YAs Ari, Charlotte and Giovanni participated as panelists at a lecture for Pediatric Psychiatry residents given by Dr. Budman.

YA Giovanni participated in a Grand Rounds at South Nassau Communities Hospital presented by his mom Valerie who is a Nurse Practitioner.

…and Giovanni..then participated in a presentation to nurses, given by his mom, at South Nassau Communities Hospital.

YOUTH AMBASSADORS ADVOCATED ON CAPITOL HILL

LI TA welcomes our newly trained 2019 YAs, Aiden, Courtney, Kacy, Pierce and Sam R!

Congratulations! They did an incredible job at the training and on the Hill!

CONGRATULATIONS TO REBECCA CARON

Congratulations to YA Rebecca Caron who received recognition from the Medford-Patchogue School Board for her outstanding work raising awareness about Tourette.

And Congratulations to Rebecca for receiving the YES I CAN Award from the Council for Exceptional Children.

Rebecca received the 2019 Yes I Can Award in the School and Community Activities Category.

JANUARY YA PRESENTATIONS

YAs Rebecca, Ari, Charlotte, Emily, Gianna, Mary, Steven and Victoria presented over three days to 5 groups of students in religious classes at Our Lady of Carmel Church in Patchogue

YAs Rebecca and Steven presented at John's Crazy Socks in Melville during their lunch and learn series.

YAs Ben, Chris and Giovanni participated as panelists at a lecture given by Drs. Budman and Zwilling at Zucker Hillside Hospital to 2nd year psychiatry Residents

DECEMBER YA PRESENTATIONS

YA Chris presented at Fusion Academy in Woodbury to the entire school.

YAS Rebecca, Chris, Gianna and Steven presented over two days to a total of 6 health classes at Oregon Middle School in Patchogue-Medford.

PRESENTATION TO BORDER PATROL AGENTS AT JFK AIRPORT

-Heartfelt appreciation to YAs Blaise, Charlotte, Chris, Emily, Giovanni and Steven who participated on a panel at a presentation by Drs. Budman and Zwilling to Border Patrol Agents at JFK airport.

Our YAs did an outstanding job and we received incredible feedback on how much they contributed to the Agents' understanding of TS.
